Islamabad, Jan 11 (UNI) Two soldiers and two terrorists were killed in a military operation in Pakistan’s northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military said.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, said on Wednesday night in a statement that a fire exchange took place between security forces and terrorists in Lakki Marwat district of the province.
The military said that the troops engaged the terrorists’ location, and two terrorists were killed, adding that during an intense exchange of fire, two soldiers lost their lives.
The killed terrorists were actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against security forces as well as killings of innocent civilians, the statement said.
It said that weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered during the operation.
