2 killed, 2 injured in gas explosion in north Pakistan

Islamabad, Mar 13 (UNI) Two people were killed and two others injured in an explosion caused by gas leakage in Pakistan’s north Rawalpindi city on Tuesday, police said.

The incident happened inside a house in the downtown area of the city, and the killed included children who initially got serious burn injuries and later succumbed to the wounds at a hospital in the city, the Rawalpindi police told media.

The injured people are also critically wounded, the police said, adding that an investigation into the incident is underway.

Part of the house partially collapsed due to the gas leakage, said police.
