Upon being informed, police officials, under the leadership of Pachore station in-charge Akansha Sharma, promptly responded to the scene. They assisted in transporting the injured passengers to the Pachore hospital using a tractor-trolley. Hospital authorities noted that 22 severely injured passengers were taken to the Pachore hospital, with 19 of them being referred to Indore for advanced treatment.
Two passengers lost their lives in the accident. They have been identified as Hariom Singh Kushwah from Bhatoi, Ashoknagar, and an unidentified person.
