10 killed, nearly 100 injured in Taiwan factory fire, explosions

Taipei, (UNI) Ten people were killed and nearly 100 injured in a fire and explosions at a factory in southern Taiwan on Friday. Four firefighters are among the deceased.

The fire erupted at a golf factory in Pingtung County. Upon receiving the report, local fire authorities deployed firefighting crews to the scene on Friday evening, according to local media reports.

The initial fire triggered subsequent explosions, causing the collapse of the factory structure. Numerous firefighters and factory employees were trapped as a result.
