- Surgery done for lump in leg, hospital accused of neglect
Bhopal: A 24-year-old woman admitted for knee surgery at Jindal Hospital in Ayodhya Nagar police station area died during treatment. The family alleges that despite the deterioration in the girl’s health, the hospital management did not pay attention on time.
According to the information, the deceased Shalu Yadav (24), resident of Vikas Nagar Colony, Berasia Road, was admitted to the hospital a day earlier. According to the family, she was admitted at 11 am on Thursday and the operation was done at 5 pm. After this she was shifted to ICU.
Shalu’s brother Nitesh Yadav said that after the operation, the sister complained of stomach ache, which he told to the staff on duty. He claimed that she was given an injection at 1 pm, but her health did not improve. “When the mother went to see her at 3:30 in the night, she was unconscious. We again informed the doctors, but we did not get a satisfactory answer.’
Doctors did not give clear information
The family alleges that the doctors did not give them any clear information till morning. At 6 in the morning, they were told that Shalu had died. On Friday, Shalu’s post-mortem was done and the body was handed over to the family. The police have said that it will be right to say something only after the PM report comes and the investigation is done.
CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari said that the matter has been reported, information related to this incident is being obtained. Further action will be decided based on whatever comes out in the investigation.
