Suresh Gopi assumes charge as MoS for Tourism

New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) Suresh Gopi on Tuesday took charge as Minister of State for Tourism, here.

The BJP MP from Thrissur, Kerala was welcomed by Secretary, Ministry of Tourism V Vidyavathi, and other senior officials of the ministry, an official statement said.

After assuming the office, the Minister interacted with senior officers of tourism ministry and talked about his vision for development of tourism sector in the country.

It may be mentioned that some media reports had carried news that the actor-turned politician had requested to be relieved of his responsibilities as a Minister.

Later, Gopi through his social media post X while refuting the media reports had said that some media platforms were spreading incorrect news that he wanted to resign from the Council of Ministers.

“This is grossly incorrect. Under the leadership of PM @narendramodi Ji we are committed to the development and prosperity of Kerala,” Gopi had posted on X.
