Shivraj govt manipulated growth rate: Shrinate

Bhopal: Congress spokesperson and chairperson of the party’s social media department, Supriya Shrinate, has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party government of Madhya Pradesh of allegedly committing a scam in the growth rate.

During a discussion with reporters here, Mrs. Shrinet said that the state government had committed big scams in the last 18 years, but now the government has committed a scam with the growth rate of the state. Citing figures, she alleged that there was a scam of about Rs 2-2.5 lakh crore in the growth rate. The reason for this is that more loans have been taken by showing more development.

She said that the NITI Aayog of the Central Government states that about 35 percent of the people of Madhya Pradesh are below the poverty line. According to the National Family Health Survey in Madhya Pradesh, 37 percent of children under 5 years of age are malnourished. Ujjwala Yojana gas connections were given to those people who live below the poverty line and the number of such families is 82 lakh. The Parliamentary Committee of the Agriculture Ministry states that a farmer in Madhya Pradesh earns Rs 55 per day. That is, all the health and social indices show that the state has been pushed into the pit of poverty.

The Congress spokesperson also presented several alleged evidences in support of his point. He said that the impact of the Covid pandemic had dealt a deep blow to the economy in the entire country including Madhya Pradesh in 2020-21 and 2021-22. The growth rate of Madhya Pradesh had fallen to -3.37 percent. He also accused the government of taking loans and squandering them on corruption.
