India moving towards self-reliance through indigenous technology in field of defense: CC Tripathi

Bhopal: Deputy Director General, Commodore Sanjay Chopra, Directorate of Quality Assurance (Warship Projects) under Ministry of Defense, New Delhi, visited various departments and hi-tech labs of the Center of Excellence of NITTTR Bhopal. The Directorate General of Quality Assurance ensures quality for the entire range of arms, ammunition, equipment and stores supplied to the Armed Forces.

On this occasion, NITTTR Bhopal Director Prof. C.C. Tripathi said that our institute can play a vital role in the fields of equipment for the defense sector, training of human resources, real-life problems of defense for project work of students, testing of the quality standards of equipments and products manufactured in the institute, in the quality assurance labs of defense, etc.

Commodore Sanjay Chopra, while visiting NITTTR’s Industry 4.0 Labs, said that NITTTR can work in collaboration with many institutes of Defense. He highlighted the need for training in advance technology area and the role of NITTTR in the field of defense. Mr. Chopra also discussed with the faculty and technical staff of NITER.

NITTTR Bhopal has proposed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to the Defense Ministry in this direction. On this occasion, Captain Dr. OP Sharma, Prof. P.K Purohit, Prof. K.K Jain, Prof. R.K Dixit, Prof. Sanjay Aggarwal, Major Nishant Ojha and Dr. Jai Singh were also present.
