Governor opens Pari Bazaar Heritage Festival Season-4

Bhopal: Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the creation of handicrafts is the result of wonderful coordination of heart and mind. Providing an opportunity to showcase the crafts of excellent artists from across the country at Pari Bazaar is commendable. He called upon the citizens to be vocal for the promotion of local products. Shri Patel was addressing the inauguration program of Pari Bazaar organized under the aegis of Begums of Bhopal Ladies Club. He inaugurated Pari Bazaar in the Gauhar Mahal complex.

Governor Shri Patel urged everyone that if they come to visit the market, they should definitely buy something from here. This encourages local artisans. He described the efforts of Bhopal Ladies Club to provide a platform to artisans and skilled artisans as meaningful. Shri Patel appreciated the efforts of Bhopal Ladies Club to revive India’s only women’s market. He congratulated the entire team of Pari Bazaar for organizing the event.

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that the work of women empowerment is going on under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The activities of Self Help Groups have provided confidence and self-reliance in the lives of women. Now women are moving forward by becoming financially independent.

Governor Shri Patel has said that Bhopal city has been an example of Ganga-Jamuni culture. It is a meeting place of rich historical and cultural traditions. Sultan Jahan Begum had established Pari Bazaar to empower women and promote their creativity along with many philanthropic works. This was his innovative and unique effort.

Governor Shri Patel was felicitated at the beginning of the program by presenting memento and Khadi clothes. He started the program by lighting the lamp. Shri Patel visited the stalls of artisans from all over the country in Kamla Park. Dr. Ajay Goenka, President of Chirayu Foundation, gave the welcome speech in the inauguration program. NABARD Chairman Shri Sunil Kumar informed about the efforts of NABARD for the promotion of local artisans. Ms. Raksha Zahid, President of Begums of Bhopal Ladies Club expressed her gratitude.
