Freight train runs without drivers from Kathua to Mukerian in Punjab

Jammu, Feb 25 (UNI) A freight train, which was at a halt at Kathua Station on Sunday morning, suddenly started running due to a slope towards Pathankot, without the driver.

Official sources said that a major tragedy was averted when a train which was at a halt at Kathua Station after covering 80 kilometer run was chugging upto Ucchi Bassi in Mukerian, Punjab without drivers .

They said that the train reportedly covered 80 kms without drivers at a very high speed.

“An inquiry has been initiated into the matter by the Divisional Traffic Manager Jammu,” they said.
