Hyderabad, Nov 8 (UNI) Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President, MP A Revanth Reddy, asserted that the BRS would be swept away in the Congress tsunami.
Speaking during an election campaign held at Rajendranagar in the city on Wednesday, Reddy alleged that BRS leaders had sold hundreds of acres in Rajendernagar. He called for a collective effort to teach corrupt individuals a lesson through the power of votes.
Reddy went on to emphasize that since the BRS-led Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s government took power, Telangana has been leading in drinking liquor supply.
He urged the people not to put their trust in the words of CM KCR, expressing his confidence that the Congress party would secure victory in the state.
Reddy criticized the lack of development in Rajendranagar and the government’s failure to allocate double-bedroom houses for the underprivileged in the area.
He also noted that the Shamshabad Airport and Outer Ring Road had been established during the Congress regime.
Highlighting that genuine development is achievable only through the Congress, Reddy refuted claims that the Rythu Bandhu program would be discontinued if Congress came to power.
He further stated that the Congress government had introduced free power, and that Rythu Bandhu would not only extend to land-owning farmers but also to tenant farmers. An amount of Rs 15,000 would be allocated under Rythu Bandhu if the Congress was to assume power.
Reddy raised concerns about KCR’s inability to purchase crops from farmers, questioning how he could claim to support farmers. He also pointed out that the BRS government had failed to extend crop insurance over the past nine years.
