New Delhi, Jan 4 (UNI) The Congress will launch a countrywide campaign ‘Jai Bapu-Jai Bhim-Jai Samvidhan’ to tell the people how the BJP and RSS have been insulting not only Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar but also the Constitution for decades.
The party also released a pamphlet in this connection on Saturday. Under this campaign, Chaupals will be set up in every district and people will be explained in a factual manner with historical background how conspiracy is being hatched against 90 percent people of the country and their rights being violated.
Addressing a press conference at the AICC headquarters here today, party spokesperson Pawan Khera announced that a massive rally will be organised on January 26 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, the birthplace of Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
Khera said, the party expected Union Home Minister Amit Shah to apologise for his insulting remarks about Dr Ambedkar in the Parliament on December 17, and hoped that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would intervene in the matter.
He said, while the PM did intervene, but it was in support of Shah and thus he became complicit in insulting Baba Saheb Ambedkar.
The Congress spokesperson reiterated that what Shah said in the parliament was in the deep psyche of the RSS and its political wing – the BJP.
Pawan accused the BJP government of continuously attacking and subverting the Constitution and the Constitutional institutions.
Moreover, he pointed out, how during the last ten years of the BJP rule, Mahatma Gandhi’s killer Nathuram Godse was glorified and even temples were being built in his name. That is why it is the responsibility of the Congress party to not only remind our legacy to the new generation but to also fight vigorously to preserve our glorious heritage.
