Bhopal: A 15-year-old girl studying in Class 10 took her own life by hanging herself in her home located in Surbhi Colony, Ratibad area of Bhopal. The girl, identified as Bhumika, daughter of Kamlesh Bhosale, had endured the tragic loss of several close family members over recent years.
According to Sub-Inspector Gabbar Singh, Bhumika was a student at a private school. Her father had died of a heart attack in 2017. In 2021, her mother died by suicide after setting herself on fire using kerosene. A year ago, Bhumika’s grandfather also passed away due to illness. Following these losses, Bhumika and her younger brother were living with their grandmother.
Family members reported that Bhumika had become emotionally withdrawn and irritable following the deaths of her parents. On Thursday night, she was found dead in her room. Police responded quickly to the scene, recovered her body, and sent it for postmortem examination.
No suicide note was found during the search of the room. The police have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances leading to her death.
