BRTS may be removed to streamline city traffic

Consensus reached in meeting chaired by CM Dr. Yadav

Bhopal: In the meeting held in the Mantralaya today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, it was agreed to remove BRTS in Bhopal. In the meeting of public representatives and senior officials, there was a detailed discussion on various problems arising in traffic due to BRTS, after which this consensus was reached.

In the meeting, the plan for phased removal of different parts of the length of BRTS in the capital and the work of leveling the road and developing the route for easy traffic was also discussed. Along with this meeting, the proposal of Lake Corridor by the Public Works Department was also presented and discussed.

Central road divider may be built

In the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, various aspects of the problems arising from BRTS were discussed in detail. Many suggestions were also received from the elected representatives of the assembly constituency of Bhopal district, including ministers and MLAs. In the meeting, on the demand of local public representatives, it was unanimously decided to remove BRTS from Bhopal.

Minister Mr. Vishwas Sarang, Mrs. Krishna Gaur, MLA Mr. Rameshwar Sharma, Mr. Bhagwan Das Sabnani, Mayor of Bhopal Mrs. Malti Rai, Chief Secretary Mrs. Veera Rana, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Mr. Raghavendra Singh, Secretary Mr. Vivek Porwal, Principal Secretary Urban Development were present in the meeting. And residence Mr. Neeraj Mandloi, Principal Secretary Public Works Mr. Sukhveer Singh, Commissioner Dr. Pawan Sharma and Collector Bhopal Mr. Ashish Singh and other officers were present.

Main points of meeting

Public representatives said that the decision to remove BRTS will reduce the traffic pressure on busy routes.

Public representatives also agreed that the local transport system could be made more convenient. The entire traffic will be facilitated.

It was agreed to build a central road divider in place of BRTS.

In the presentation on the current BRTS system, facts related to dedicated corridors in different parts of BRTS and movement of vehicles in other parts of the route were also presented. Information about the nature of BRTS and the arrangements made at various places in the city was also given.
