Bhopal: In a simple yet impressive function, S. M. Ramanathan, ED, BHEL, Bhopal kicked off re-carpeting of roads inside factory area. Avinash Chandra, GM (Transformers- operations, Logistics & Works Engg. & Modernisation), all other General Managers and DROs, besides executives and employees of Works Engineering division were present on this occasion. Being executed by Factory Civil maintenance, this re-carpeting work will cover all major roads inside the factory, measuring approx. 5 kms at a cost of about Rs. 2 crore. This is being seen as a drive to improve employee perception thereby boosting morale of employees. The roads under factory area were pending for re-carpeting for a long period and this initiative has been highly appreciated by all employees. Ramanathan on this occasion said that it’s a step towards providing better amenities and better working environment to the employees and visitors in the factory.
