Traffic rerouted as city embraces wellness

Bhopal: Bhopal is set to embrace health and wellness today, June 21st, as the city celebrates International Yoga Day with various programs across the capital. The main event will be held at Atal Path in Tatya Tope Nagar, necessitating significant traffic and parking diversions from 6:00 AM onwards, or as required, throughout the morning.

To ensure public convenience, the Traffic Police have issued a detailed plan, advising citizens to check alternative routes before heading out. For any assistance, the Traffic Control Room will be accessible.

Preparations for the grand yoga session at Atal Path are complete, with all departments working in synergy. High-profile attendees, including the Chief Minister and numerous ministers and VIPs, are expected, prompting special arrangements to ensure a smooth and secure event.

Adding to the city’s holistic embrace of yoga, Arogya Bharati organized a preparatory yoga session yesterday, Friday, at the TT Nagar Stadium. Over 2,000 students and teachers participated, setting an energetic tone for today’s main celebrations.

Key traffic diversions for today:

Commuters should note that from 6:00 AM on Saturday, vehicles attending the event, as well as general traffic, will follow altered routes. Expect increased traffic congestion around Roshanpura Square, Apex Bank Tiraaha, and Mata Mandir Road. Public transport, authorized heavy vehicles, and other large vehicles will also be redirected through these revised pathways.

Residents are urged to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience and ensure a smooth flow of traffic during this significant event.
