Moscow, June 7 (UNI) Two people were injured in the Moscow Region after Ukrainian drones carried out attacks over night and the previous day, Moscow Region Governor Andrei Vorobyov said on Saturday.
“Air Defence Systems repelled an enemy drone attack in the Moscow region. Overnight and the previous day, nine UAVs were shot down above the region in Zaraysk, Odintsovo, Domodedovo, Istra and Solnechnogorsk. Most of the drones were destroyed on their approach… Two residents, a man and a woman, were wounded by drone fragments in Istra,” Vorobyov said on Telegram.
The injured are receiving all the necessary medical care at the hospital, their condition is stable, there is no threat to life, Vorobyov also said. As a result of the attacks a private house was also damaged, with the roof, walls, outbuildings and a car being struck. Recovery and support for the family is being monitored, the governor added.
“Emergency services are also operating in all of the affected communities,” Vorobyov said.
Earlier in the day, the Russian Defence Ministry said that the Russian air defence systems destroyed 36 Ukrainian drones at overnight above the territories of the Kursk, Bryansk, Kaluga, Smolensk and Moscow Regions.
