Two killed, another 2 remain in hospital after London knife attack: Police

United Kingdom, July 29 (UNI) Two people have died and two more remain in hospital with injuries after a knife attack in central London, the Metropolitan Police said.

“Officers were called at 13:00hrs on Monday, 28 July to reports that multiple people had been assaulted at a business unit in Long Lane, SE1. Police and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene and treated four people for stab wounds. Despite the best effort of paramedics a 58-year-old-man died at the scene. Three other men were taken to hospital where a 27-year-old man has also since died,” the police said in a statement.

According to law enforcement, two other men remain in hospital, one of them in a life-threatening condition.

An investigation into the incident is underway. Detective Chief Inspector Emma Bond said the incident was not currently being treated as a terrorist attack. No details of a suspect in the attack have been released.
