Bhopal: A group of 38 trainee administrative officers from the R.C.V.P. Noronha Academy of Administration and Management, Bhopal, visited the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) as part of an educational tour. The primary aim of the visit was to provide the officers with deeper insights into India’s tribal cultures, traditional lifestyles, and rich cultural heritage.
During the tour, the officers explored the renowned “Tribal Habitat” exhibition and the “Veethi Sankul” indoor galleries. They keenly observed the architectural styles, customs, livelihood practices, and daily lives of tribal communities from different regions of the country.
Museum officer Umesh Kumar Jharia and Dr. Mohan Goyal, in charge of the Tribal Habitat and Veethi Sankul, provided detailed explanations about the historical, cultural, and social aspects of the exhibits. The officers appreciated the museum’s layout, display techniques, and efforts towards cultural preservation.
The trainees noted that the experience not only enhanced their understanding of tribal diversity but also inspired them to consider socio-cultural factors in policy-making. IGRMS regularly organizes such tours to educate students, researchers, and officials about India’s diverse cultural heritage and to encourage its respectful preservation.
