- Student Nikita Lodhi disappears in Bhopal
- Family appealed to CM Mohan Yadav and DGP for help
Bhopal: In a disturbing trend of girls mysteriously vanishing in Madhya Pradesh, a 21-year-old BSc student, Nikita Lodhi, has been missing for seven days. Her family, desperately searching for her, has appealed to Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and DGP Kailash Makwana for urgent help, drawing parallels to the recent cases of Archana Tiwari and Shraddha.
Disappeared after going to pay fees
Nikita, a resident of Jhirniya village in Raisen, was last seen on August 18 when she left to pay her college fees. She never returned. Her family, who has been searching in Raisen and nearby villages, is frustrated with the pace of the police investigation. They have publicly questioned the Raisen police’s efforts, stating that a lead from Telangana has now accelerated the case. “Our daughter must be found just like Archana Tiwari,” they pleaded.
A troubling trend
The case follows two other high-profile disappearances. Shraddha Tiwari, also 21, went missing from Indore. Her family and police have been searching for more than 60 hours, with no leads, as she left her phone behind. This string of vanishings began with Archana Tiwari, a woman from Katni, who mysteriously disappeared from a moving train while traveling home for Raksha Bandhan. After an extensive search, she was found in Nepal and later revealed she had fled due to pressure to marry. The repeated incidents have raised serious concerns about the safety of women in the state.
