Railways extend Special Train Service between Rewa and Mumbai festival rush

Bhopal: A special train service connecting Rewa and Mumbai will be extended to meet passenger demand during the upcoming festive season and handle additional crowds. The Rewa-Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus-Rewa weekly special train, which passes through stations like Itarsi, has been extended for 13 more trips in each direction.

The extended service for Train No. 02187, the Rewa-CSMT weekly special, will now run from October 2, 2025, to December 25, 2025. Similarly, the return journey, Train No. 02188 from CSMT to Rewa, is extended from October 3, 2025, to December 26, 2025.

According to Senior DCM Saurabh Kataria, the extension will benefit many travelers. He urged passengers to take advantage of the extended services, with reservations available through the IRCTC website or at any computerized reservation center. The train’s schedule and stops will remain the same. The decision aims to ensure comfortable travel for passengers and manage the increased holiday traffic efficiently.
