Bhopal: GRP Bhopal have arrested the three main accused who assaulted and misbehaved with the policeman posted on duty at Rani Kamlapati railway station. This action has been taken under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Railway Rahul Kumar Lodha and Deputy Superintendent of Police Bittu Sharma.
Beat up the head constable
The incident took place at around 1:30 am on the intervening night of 26-27 April. Three youths and a woman were found drinking alcohol in a car in the parking lot of Rani Kamlapati station premises. When head constable Nazar Daulat Khan, who was on duty, stopped them, the accused abused and assaulted him. Taking advantage of the crowd, two accused and the woman fled from the spot, while one accused Jitendra Yadav was immediately caught and brought to the police station.
The GRP formed a special team to search for the accused, which continuously raided areas like Lambakheda, Karond, Bhanpur and Chowpra. On Tuesday, all three accused were arrested near Manohar Dairy, Bhopal. A black Scorpio car has also been seized from the possession of the accused, which was used at the time of the incident.
Attempt to provoke the crowd
The main accused Dilip Ahirwar tried to provoke the crowd at the scene of the incident. He told other cops who tried to intervene, “You move aside, you are Hindu, this policeman is a Muslim.” Considering this statement serious, the police have also added Section 196 BNS in the FIR.
