Police nab vehicle fraud accused

Bhopal : Bhopal police station crime branch arrested an accused who cheated the vehicle owner by asking him to sell a Scorpio SUV at a higher price and dishonestly selling it to someone else.

Fraud committed by the accused by luring the complainant and earning profit by selling the vehicle at a higher price.

The crime was committed by taking the vehicle owner into confidence. The crime of fraud was registered against the accused. The accused is being interrogated in connection with the case. Total value of four wheeler seized from the accused was Rs 6,00,000/-.

To control crime and criminals in the city, Police Commissioner Bhopal Harinarayanachari Mishra and Additional Police Commissioner Bhopal Anurag Sharma were directed to take action to arrest the accused.

In pursuance of the above instructions, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Shrutkirti Somvanshi and Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Crime Shailendra Singh Chauhan, Assistant Police Commissioner Crime Mukhtar Qureshi, Police Station Incharge Crime Branch Ashok Maravi and his team arrested the absconding accused in the fraud case.

Details of the incident – Statements were taken after interrogating the applicant Vikram Singh, resident of M.No. 113, Amarnath Colony, Kolar Road, Bhopal, who told in his statements that the applicant Rinku Tomar took me dishonestly into confidence by asking him to sell my Scorpio at a higher price. Gaya and neither is he paying the amount for the sale of the car nor is he returning my Scorpio.

Rinku Tomar has cheated me by selling my Scorpio car to someone else and dishonestly giving me a trust. On the basis of applicant’s statement and complaint application investigation, accused Rinku Tomar, father Sher Singh Tomar, resident of village Khandi, Subhashpura district, Shivpuri, present address, ward number 39, bypass road, Darpan Colony, Shivpuri, prima facie found to have committed the crime of section 420,406 of Indian Penal Code with the applicant. Crime section 420,406 of Indian Penal Code was registered against accused Rinku Tomar and taken into consideration.
