Rio de Janeiro/New Delhi, July 6 (UNI) On the forth phase of his five nation tour, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Brazil today. During his a four-day visit, he will participate in the 17th BRICS Summit and then undertake a state visit.
Upon his arrival from Argentina where he went on a single day visit, PM Modi was accorded a ceremonial welcome at the Galeao International Airport.

“Desembarcou no Rio de Janeiro, Brasil, onde participarei da Cúpula dos BRICS e depois irei à sua capital, Brasília, para uma visita de Estado a convite do presidente Lula. Esperando uma rodada produtiva de reuniões e interações durante esta visita.” (I landed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where I will participate in the BRICS Summit and then I will go to its capital, Brasília, for a state visit at the invitation of President Lula. Looking forward to a productive round of meetings and interactions during this visit.”)
External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said in an X post

This is the the first bilateral visit to Brazil by an Indian Prime Minister in nearly six decades.
As part of his ongoing five-nation tour, PM Modi has visited Ghana, Trinidad and Tobago, and Argentina thus far.
He will travel to Namibia on the last leg of his tour.
