Bhopal: In a heartbreaking incident in Bhopal, a 24-year-old woman, Farah Khan, died by suicide just three months after her marriage. The tragedy occurred early Monday morning in Rajiv Nagar, under the jurisdiction of MP Nagar police station. Farah, who was two months pregnant, was found hanging in her in-laws’ house around 6 a.m., shortly after a series of family disputes.
The conflict began when Farah’s husband, Aamir Khan, discovered that her younger brother Fardeen had been chatting and speaking on calls with Aamir’s niece via Instagram. Aamir confronted both his niece and Farah, which led to a heated argument between the couple. Upset, Farah left for her maternal home, located nearby. There, she allegedly assaulted Fardeen for being the cause of the dispute with her husband.
Later that night, Farah returned to her marital home. Aamir also visited her maternal house, scolded Farah again, and announced he would not return to live with her. The next morning, he called the family saying Farah was unconscious and had been taken to JP Hospital. By the time her relatives arrived, they were informed of her death.
The family alleges foul play, suspecting Aamir’s involvement. They claim he delayed informing them and the police and had already taken down the body before alerting authorities. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation following the post-mortem.
