- Found 57 Km from home next day
Bhopal: The mysterious case of a three-year-old girl who vanished from the Gandhi Nagar area of Bhopal has taken a puzzling turn after she was found safe, but 57 kilometers away, in the town of Kurawar in the Rajgarh district. The discovery, made just 24 hours after she went missing, has left police baffled as they try to piece together how a child could travel such a distance alone.
Ragini disappeared around 3 p.m. on August 4 while playing outside her home, located behind the Gandhi Nagar High School. Her family immediately reported her missing, prompting the Gandhi Nagar police to launch an extensive search operation.
Police Station in-charge Brijendra Marskole confirmed that Ragini has been safely recovered, but the circumstances of her journey remain unclear. “The child is still too young to provide a clear account of what happened,” Marskole stated. “We are trying to determine if she was taken by bus, auto-rickshaw, or any other vehicle, and by whom.”
The case is further complicated by Ragini’s family situation—her mother is deceased, and her father is unwell, leaving her in the care of her uncle. Authorities are also investigating a disturbing detail: this is not the first time Ragini has gone missing. She was previously found in the Shyamla Hills area. Police are now examining CCTV footage from the surrounding areas to uncover how she reached Kurawar and to understand the recurring pattern of her disappearances.
