MP Karmchari Sangh protests in support of 12 point demands

  • Regularization and hike in pay scale among major demands of irregular cadre employees

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Karmachari Manch protested on Saturday regarding its demands. During this period, 1.5 lakh irregular cadre employees remained on strike and gathered near Ambedkar Maidan, Tulsi Nagar Second Stop in Bhopal and carried out a massive demonstration. Madhya Pradesh Karmachari Manch has been raising its demands before the government earlier also. But the long pending demands have not been resolved yet. According to state president Ashok Pandey, small employees are not getting the benefits of their entitlements and they are unable to raise their demands individually. Therefore their demands are being raised collectively through this platform.

Employees of these departments participated

Municipal bodies, Panchayat bodies, Anganwadi workers, assistants, ASHAs, part-time employees, contract employees, computer operators, outsourced employees, home guards, watchmen, forest committee workers as well as class III and IV employees of various departments participated. The employees protested peacefully raising slogans like we are all one, employee demands should be fulfilled, employee unity zinnabad.

These are the demands

  1. By giving the benefit of court orders to the permanent employees of the state, they should be given the benefit of seventh pay scale including arrears from 2016 and they should be regularized on the vacant posts.
  2. Daily wage employees should be given regular pay scale. Daily wage earners appointed between 2007 and 2022 should be regularized as permanent workers.
  3. Permanent employees, daily wage employees, part-time employees, forest protection workers should be given the benefit of compassionate appointment.
  4. Daily wage workers should be regularized and out source practice should be stopped.
  5. Panchayat watchmen should be given collector rate salary and they should also be given uniforms by giving them the status of government employees.
  6. The reduced salaries of the main cook assistant, cooks and watchmen of the hostel should be increased again and they should be regularized.
  7. Permanent and daily wage employees and part-time employees should be provided a gratuity of Rs 10 lakh on retirement and government assistance of Rs 10 lakh on death. Also, benefits of the old pension scheme should be given.
  8. Pump operators receiving honorarium should be regularized and their honorarium should be increased to Rs 16000 instead of Rs 8000.
  9. Temporary employees who have completed 3 years of service should not be removed from service and temporary employees who have completed 5 years of service should be made permanent.
