Fourth time scale pay scale for government servants after 35 years of service approved

In the cadres of civil services of the state government where direct recruitment is done, the members of civil services of classes A,B and D will be paid the fourth time scale pay scale on completion of 35 years of service from the date of first appointment in government service. The state government has issued orders in this regard.

According to the order of the state government, such government servants, who have received the benefit of three promotions, promotion time scale pay scale only from the date of appointment by direct recruitment in government service, have completed 35 years of service from July 1, 2023 or after that date. Will be eligible for the fourth time scale pay scale. The calculation of the service period for the fourth time scale pay scale of the government servant will be from the date of taking charge for the first time on any direct recruitment post under the state government through competitive selection examination. To get the benefit of higher pay scale, it will be necessary for the government servant to fulfill those qualifications which are prescribed for promotion according to the departmental service recruitment rules. Officers and employees of such cadre of the state government, who get the benefit of time scale pay scale under the specific scheme, it will be necessary to obtain a separate order from the Council of Ministers to get the benefit of the scheme. If any cadre is getting a pay scale equal to or higher than the fourth time scale pay scale prescribed as per Appendix, then they will continue to get the pay scale of the level they have received. Rules 2017 (according to the seventh pay scale) Matrix Level is Class-A First Class, Class-B Second Class, Class-C Third Class, Executive and Secretarial Services and Class-D Class IV.
