Space scientist associated with Chandrayaan-3 Verma addresses students
Bhopal: On completion of two years of implementation of National Education Policy in MP, a one-day national workshop and felicitation ceremony was organized in Ujjain on 9th September. Vice Chancellors and senior academicians of government and private universities of the state participated in the workshop organized in the Golden Jubilee Auditorium of Vikram University, Ujjain. ISRO Space Scientist Shri Ravi Verma addressed the students in the workshop.
Higher Education Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that along with the implementation of National Education Policy-2020 in the country by the Central Government, it has been implemented in Madhya Pradesh. At the graduation level, in the first and second year, the curriculum was implemented according to the National Education Policy for the students. Under the policy, several steps have been taken by the Higher Education Department in the direction of skill development of the students. This year the third year curriculum is being implemented.
Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the workshop focused on the implementation of the National Education Policy, the Vice Chancellors of all the universities of the state, all the members of the task force formed on the National Education Policy, NEP nodal officers of all the government colleges and the promotion of the National Education Policy in every district were present. Nominated NEP ambassador professors will participate for dissemination. Selected members of education organizations and members of the Higher Education Council were also present.
ISRO space scientist Shri Verma addressed the students in the workshop. The program was broadcast in all the colleges and universities of the state. Verma is a Senior Scientist at the Space Applications Center in Ahmedabad and has worked on several projects including Chandrayaan-3, Chandrayaan-2, PSLV, GSLV. Dr. Anil Kothari, Director General, Mapcost was also present.
Meritorious students honored
One teacher from each division was honored in the workshop. In this, the winning students in various state-level competitions organized in the year 2022 were rewarded for the promotion of the NEP. Seed money was distributed to selected students to encourage start-ups through incubation centers in various universities. A++ and A+ universities and colleges were awarded citations in NAAC assessment. In the program, the guest will release the book ‘Nandi Ghosh’ published by Madhya Pradesh Hindi Granth Academy on the implementation of the National Education Policy.
