New Delhi, May 6 (UNI) National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him on the prevailing situation following tension with Pakistan post Pahalgam terror attack.
This was the second meeting of Doval with the Prime Minister and lasted around 40 minutes. It comes a day after Union Home Ministry directed state governments to conduct mock security drills for effective defence measures in the event of hostile attack.
Doval and Union home secretary Govind Mohan had met Modi on Monday and briefed him about security situation, following the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, in which 26 tourists were killed.
The Prime Minister has held a series of meetings with the chiefs of Army, Navy and Air Force over the past few days. He also held meetings with members of the Cabinet Committee on Security.
