Cheetah Gamini gives birth to six cubs not five

On March 10, in Kuno National Park, Sheopur, Madhya Pradesh, the female cheetah Gamini gave birth to not 5, but 6 cubs. During monitoring on Monday, the forest department found one more cub.

All the cubs are completely healthy. Pictures of all 6 cubs together have been tweeted by Union Forest Minister Bhupendra Yadav. On March 10, the forest staff could see only 5 cubs during patrolling because they were in tall grass. After the arrival of these new little guests, the number of cheetah cubs born on MP land has increased to 14. The number of Cheetahs in Kuno has increased to 27 including 14 cubs.

However, later it became clear that Jwala had also given birth to only 4 cubs. After this, Gamini, brought from South Africa, gave birth to five cubs simultaneously. At present, according to the information received from the park management, the female cheetah Gamini and her five cubs are healthy and have been kept under special surveillance.

Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav tweeted, ‘Gamini’s legacy carried forward! There is no end to happiness. These are not five but six cubs. A week after the news of the birth of five cubs, it has now been confirmed that the South African cheetah Gamini has given birth to six cubs. At the beginning of the year, the Namibian cheetah Asha was the first to give birth to four cubs in Kuno Palpur. About a week later, Jwala, who was brought from Namibia, was reported to have given birth to three cubs.
