Background of Vision Document Formation
Following the Prime Minister’s 75th Independence Day address, which called for making India a developed nation by 2047, Madhya Pradesh initiated work on the Viksit Madhya Pradesh @2047 Vision Documentto contribute meaningfully to this national aspiration.
Initial consultations began with NITI Aayog in April 2024. Between May and September 2024, intensive discussions were held across eight thematic groups involving senior state officials. Suggestions and feedback were submitted to NITI Aayog. In November 2024, a workshop chaired by the CEO of NITI Aayog and the Chief Secretary was organized in Bhopal, leading to further refinements.
An Empowered Committee under the Chief Secretary was formed to guide the process. The thematic groups included participation from senior officials, stakeholders, public representatives, industry bodies, educational experts, and the general public through dialogues, competitions, field visits, and citizen surveys.
