BHEL flags off first 110 MVAR, 765 kV shunt reactor of FY 2025-26 for Power Grid’s Koppal Project

Bhopal, Transformer Division of BHEL, Bhopal has successfully manufactured the first 110 MVR 765 kV Shunt Reactor of the financial year 2025-26. On this occasion, Subodh Raut, Chief RIO Power Grid flagged off the Shunt Reactor. This Shunt Reactor has been prepared for the Koppal Project site in Karnataka of Power Grid, the country’s leading power company.

On this occasion, Rupesh Telang, General Manager (Feeders & TCB-MFG, COM & Maintenance), Shri S K Mahajan, General Manager (TCB-Eng., TCB-Eng. Services & MM) of BHEL, Bhopal and many senior officers of Transformer Division were present.

In his address, Raut appreciated the efforts of the construction team and called it a symbol of excellent technical skill and commitment of BHEL, Bhopal.

The manufacturing and testing of the shunt reactor were completed at BHEL Bhopal factory in the presence of POWERGRID officials. BHEL Bhopal, a leading power equipment manufacturing unit in the country, has once again strengthened its commitment towards quality products and timely delivery.
