Bengaluru court summons Udhayanidhi Stalin for remarks on Sanatana Dharma

Bengaluru, Feb 2 (UNI) A court in Bengaluru on Friday summoned Tamil Nadu Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin to appear before it on March 4 for his alleged remarks on Sanatana Dharma last year.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin, had allegedly compared Sanatana Dharma with Dengue and Malaria at a programme last September.

During the programme, Stalin also stated that Sanatana Dharma is against social justice and equality and should be annihilated.

The 42nd ACM court also issued summons to the persons who organised the programme

The summons were issued based on a petition registered by one Paramesh.

The issue also became a big controversy in the runup to the assembly elections in five states late last year.
