Kochi, Oct 3 (UNI) Apollo Tyres has unveiled its logo on the Indian men’s cricket team jersey for the first time, marking a milestone in its recently announced three-year strategic partnership with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
The unveiling was held in Ahmedabad ahead of the opening Test match against the West Indies.
The development comes just two days after the Apollo Tyres logo made its first appearance on the sleeves of the Indian women’s team jersey during their match against Sri Lanka in Guwahati.
Cricket, described as the “heartbeat of the nation,” now features the company’s emblem on both the men’s and women’s national teams, underlining Apollo’s commitment to the sport and its cultural significance.
“Our logo appearing on the Indian cricket teams’ jersey is a moment of great honour for us,” said Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Apollo Tyres Ltd.
“Cricket unites the nation like no other sport, and through this association, we aim to go the distance with the teams and their supporters, embodying the spirit of determination, resilience and excellence.”
The company said the partnership is not merely a commercial tie-up but also a symbol of national pride and support for India’s cricketing ecosystem.
Apollo Tyres also stressed that the collaboration represents its long-term vision of contributing to Indian sport by fostering talent and celebrating moments that inspire millions of fans.
At the unveiling, Onkar Kanwar, Chairman of Apollo Tyres, along with Neeraj Kanwar, presented the new jersey to Test captain Shubman Gill and vice-captain Ravindra Jadeja.
Apollo Tyres said it looks forward to “going the distance” with Team India as they embark on a journey of shared victories and memorable milestones over the next three years.
