Amit Shah visits Lalbaug Ganpati

Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in the financial capital of the country and visited the famous Lalbaug Cha Ganpati here on Saturday.

He sought blessings of the Lalbaug ka Raja Ganpati along with his family. Along with Shah, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis also sought blessings.

Owing to security reasons, the organisers had kept the ‘pandal’ closed for ‘darshan’ for other devotees for some time.

All pavilions were evacuated. Only a few women volunteers and a handful of mandal volunteers and police were present in the pavilion.

Shah also visited the houses of Shinde and Fadnavis.

He will attend a programme of Mumbai University before leaving for Delhi, said a BJP leader.
