Mumbai, June 10 (UNI) Bollywood star Akshay Kumar’s latest comic caper “Housefull 5” has earned more than Rs 100 crore in the Indian market within just four days of its release.
The fifth installment of “Housefull” franchise is produced by seasoned filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala and directed by Tarun Mansukhani, the film debuted in cinemas on June 6 and boasts a star-laden cast including Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Fardeen Khan, Shreyas Talpade, Chitrangada Singh, Dino Morea, Chunky Pandey, Johnny Lever, Nikitin Dheer, Soundarya Sharma, Ranjit, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt and Nana Patekar.
According to the report of trade portal Saccanilk, the movie “Housefull 5” earned a magnificent amount of 24 crores in the Indian market on the first day. On the second day, the movie earned 31 crores and on the third day, it earned 32.5 crores. On Day 4, the film reportedly collected 13 crores, taking its total to over 100 crores in India.
A distinguishing feature of “Housefull 5” is its innovative double-climax release , a rare experiment in commercial Hindi cinema, which has piqued audience curiosity and bolstered footfalls.
