Bhopal: AIIMS Bhopal is making waves internationally, with Prof. (Dr.) Bhavna Dhingra presenting groundbreaking research at the 13th International Society for Neonatal Screening conference in Luxembourg. Her work, focusing on screening newborns for metabolic disorders and hemoglobinopathies, drew praise from global experts.
Under Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh’s leadership, AIIMS Bhopal is pioneering neonatal care in India. While developed nations have established screening programs, India lags behind. To bridge this gap, AIIMS Bhopal, in partnership with the State National Health Mission, launched Central India’s first public sector neonatal screening facility.
