After GST reform, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav reached among the traders

New Delhi, Sep 22 (UNI) Following the implementation of the GST reforms, union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw today visited traders at the RK Puram Sector 8 market here, explaining the intentions and objectives behind the government’s moves on the issue.

Addressing the public and traders, Vaishnaw said that before 2014, there were multiple taxes alongside various surcharges.

But after 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought GST and unified all the taxes. Now, the slabs in GST have also been reformed, in which the tax rates have been reduced, the minister said

According to him, the reforms will directly impact traders and customers. “Along with this, from today, we are starting another new campaign, Swadeshi Apnao. While the aim is to promote indigenous goods, now, after the implementation of the new GST reforms, people will get relief,” he said.

Vaishnav said there will be significant savings on 95 per cent of the items, and appealed to the people to take a pledge to only go for indigenous products during festivals. UNI XC PVG SSP
