Accountant deposited employees’ salary in relatives’ account

In the Bagsevania area of the capital, the accountant of a private company transferred the salary of the employees worth Rs 8 lakh to the accounts of his relatives and acquaintances. Police have registered a case of fraud against the accused on the complaint of the HR manager of the company. The accused has not been arrested in the case.

According to the information, Saket Nagar resident Rahul Singh 39 is HR manager in Shreeji Infrastructure Company. He told the police that a person named Mrityunjay Jaina worked as an accountant in his company Shreeji Infrastructure. Apart from the transactions of the company, he also deposited the salaries of the employees in their accounts every month. For this he was given ID and password. During the functioning of the company, between September 3 and September 20, 2023, Accountant Mrityunjay Jaina, instead of transferring the salary of about Rs 8 lakh 46 thousand from the company’s account to the employees from September 13, was transferred to the employees’ account with the help of ID password.

The incident came to light when the salaries did not reach the employees’ accounts till September 20. By then the accused Mrityunjay Jaina had suddenly left the job. After this, complainant Rahul Singh reached Bagsevania police station and complained about the matter. After investigating the complaint, the police have registered a case of fraud and embezzlement against Mrityunjay Jaina.

Man ends life after separation from wife

A young man committed suicide by hanging himself in Ashoka Garden area of the capital. Due to family disputes, his wife started living separately with their two children. Due to this, the young man remained under mental stress. The police have established a track and started investigating the matter. According to the information, 34-year-old Rohit Sahu, father Kamlesh Sahu, living in Alkapuri Colony of Ashoka Garden police station area, used to drive an auto.

On Wednesday night, Rohit came home after work and went to his room without eating food. Then he did not come to eat for a long time, then the family members called him and asked him to eat. Despite repeated calls, neither did Rohit come out nor did he respond from inside the room. When the family members reached the door of the room, they found the door locked from inside. After a lot of efforts, the family members broke the door and entered the room. Where they saw Rohit’s body hanging from a noose made of a towel placed on the fan. The family members brought him down from the noose but by then he was dead. On receiving the information, the police arrived, investigated the spot, established a morgue and sent the body to the mortuary for PM. From where the body was later handed over to the family members.

According to the investigation team, in the initial investigation, no suicide note or other such clue has been found from the spot. So that the reasons for suicide can be revealed. The family members of the deceased say that Rohit, who is married, has two children, Nitin (8) and Tanishk (6), along with his wife. For a long time, there used to be disputes between husband and wife over some issue or the other. After increasing quarrels, his wife Dolly had gone away along with both the children about 6 months ago. The wife left both the children with her mother and was living with another young man. Due to all these things, Rohit was living under a lot of mental stress for the past few days. At present the matter is being investigated.
