SBI officials visit BHEL Helping Hands, extend CSR support

Bhopal: Sushil Rajvaidya, Regional Manager of the State Bank of India (SBI), and Alka Yadav, Chief Manager, SBI, visited the Helping Hands initiative run by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) and its Ladies Welfare Society on Friday. Rosy Upadhyay, President of the BHEL Ladies Club, was also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Upadhyay briefed the guests on the activities and facilities being provided by Helping Hands. She stated that the organisation remains fully committed to supporting the families of deceased and economically disadvantaged BHEL employees. She added that all members of the Ladies Club are making sincere efforts towards this cause and highlighted the technical proficiency of the staff engaged in the initiative.

Speaking as the chief guest, Rajvaidya expressed admiration at the technical competence of the women involved, noting that they are successfully carrying out tasks such as transformer and traction motor taping — key products of BHEL. He also appreciated the efficient management of these activities under the supervision of the club’s leadership. He further stated that SBI would endeavour to extend additional assistance to Helping Hands under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Yadav also shared her views during the programme.

On the occasion, SBI distributed uniforms to all employees under its CSR initiative and facilitated the installation of CCTV cameras in the technical wing.

Office-bearers of the BHEL Ladies Club, including Anuja Majumdar, Lalita Chatterjee, Manju Patel, Yogita Baghel, Preeti Dani, Preeti Agrawal, Manisha Sharma and Sheetal Juneja, along with other members, were present.

The programme was conducted and the vote of thanks delivered by Anuja Majumdar, Vice-President of the organisation.
