Bhopal : Congress spokesperson Swadesh Sharma on Wednesday commented on the political climate in Bihar, stating that the people of the state have clearly rejected the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Sharma claimed that public anger was evident during the campaigning phase, referencing media reports that BJP parliamentarian Manoj Tiwari was forced to flee from an irate crowd.
He further noted another incident in which the helicopter of the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister was allegedly not allowed to land because the local people had dug up the helipad in protest. “Now whom will he blame for this?” Sharma remarked.
He also criticised the Election Commission, alleging that it has become a puppet of the Central government and is failing to ensure free and fair elections. According to Sharma, these incidents reflect widespread dissatisfaction with the BJP’s governance and campaign strategies.
