- Cyber Awareness Campaign Reaches St. Teresa School
Bhopal, As part of the ongoing October Cyber Awareness Month campaign, the Cyber Police Headquarters and District Police jointly conducted a large-scale workshop at St. Teresa Higher Secondary School, Piplani. The initiative, guided by DIG Shri Vineet Kapoor and SP Shri Pranay Nagwanshi, aims to immunize citizens and students against growing cyber threats.
Approximately 500 students attended the session, where officers provided critical information on safe internet practices and the responsible use of mobile phones. A core focus was placed on common cyber crimes, including online fraud, bank scams, phishing, and social media identity theft.
Addressing the students, particularly the young women, the police team stressed the importance of digital vigilance. They advised attendees never to click unknown links, share OTPs or passwords, or reveal sensitive personal information online. Emphasis was also placed on the broader importance of education, respecting elders, and following the paths of great personalities to build knowledgeable and resilient futures.
Attendees were educated on immediate steps to take if victimized: contact the bank, block the account, and report the incident using the national helpline 1930 or the portal www.cybercrime.gov.in. The program successfully boosted digital literacy, empowering students to navigate the online world safely.
