Tagore Football Club inaugurated at RNTU

Bhopal: The Tagore Football Club (Tagore FC) of Rabindranath Tagore University marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its sports ground at the university campus. Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats, President of the club, officially opened the ground, which is set to become a hub for sporting excellence. The event was attended by several prominent figures, including Vice Chancellor Dr. Ravi Prakash Dubey, Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Sanjeev Gupta, Registrar Dr. Sangeeta Johri, and other faculty members and staff.

Dr. Aditi Chaturvedi Vats emphasized the university’s commitment to fostering all-round student development, highlighting the importance of sports alongside academics. She noted that the new sports ground would serve as an ideal platform for students to develop crucial skills such as discipline, teamwork, and leadership.

Training camp for women begins

In a major step forward for women’s sports, a 10-day training camp for the Tagore FC women’s football team commenced immediately after the inauguration. The team is gearing up for the Madhya Pradesh Women’s Premier League (MPWL), set to take place from October 28 to November 30, 2025. Under the expert guidance of coaches Mr. George Lawrence and Mr. Bipin Pawar, the players are honing their technical and tactical skills in preparation for the highly anticipated competition.
