CM Yadav Unveils Rs 106 Crore development plan for Panna

Panna: In a major push for development in the diamond-rich district of Panna, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for development projects worth Rs 106 crore. Addressing a women’s conference in Aman Ganj, the Chief Minister outlined his government’s vision to make Panna a leading district in the state.

A boost for women and the youth

Dr. Yadav made a significant announcement for the Ladli Behna Yojana, a scheme aimed at empowering women. He stated that starting this year’s Bhai Dooj festival, eligible women will receive Rs 1,500 per month, with the amount increasing to Rs 3,000 per month by 2028.

The Chief Minister also promised to transform the lives of farmers and youth in the Bundelkhand region through the Ken-Betwa Link Project. He highlighted ongoing efforts to support students with government initiatives providing school uniforms, books, laptops, and scooters. Dr. Yadav also announced that his government is in the process of recruiting approximately one lakh individuals for government positions, including 22,000 in the police department.

Key projects and future plans

In response to local demands, Dr. Yadav announced a new medical college for Panna, along with the upgrading of the Aman Ganj hospital, the establishment of seven sub-health centers, and the creation of a new college in Saleha. Other key projects include the expansion of the Bargi Canal Project, a new sports stadium, and the rejuvenation of irrigation canals. These initiatives, he said, are a testament to his government’s commitment to providing better education, health, and infrastructure for the people of Panna.
