Bhopal: Acting on the directive of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, strict action is being taken against those who attempted fraud in the Madhya Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment process. Inspector General of Police (Law and Order) Anshuman Singh informed in a press conference that during the 2023 recruitment process conducted by the MP Staff Selection Board, 6.5 lakh candidates appeared for the written exam. Of them, 55,220 qualified for the physical efficiency test conducted between October 16 and November 20, 2024. Finally, 6,423 candidates (5,090 men and 1,333 women) were selected.
However, during the physical test, five candidates sent impersonators to Morena centre. These individuals were caught, barred from the exam, and cases were registered.
Following this, on April 21, 2025, all successful candidates were re-verified using Aadhaar history, biometrics, and character records. Investigations revealed that some candidates altered their Aadhaar biometrics before and after the exam to manipulate identity verification. Based on this, 21 cases have been filed against 22 candidates across districts including Morena (7), Shivpuri (6), and others.
Some Aadhaar vendors also enabled such fraud by updating records without proper checks. The DGP’s office is monitoring the probe, and the state government has ordered the strictest legal action.
