Investigation of clinics operating without permission continues

  • Many clinics closed due to fear of action

Bhopal: Inspection of clinics by the Chief Medical and Health Officer Bhopal office continued for the second day as well. The health department team examined the degree, medical system, council registration, MP Hospital and Rozotherapy Establishment Act, Biomedical Waste Management Act, Gumasta license of the persons practicing medicine at different places in the district.

Many operators kept their clinics closed due to fear of action. The department team is keeping an eye on these clinics. The cooperation of local police, municipal corporation and administration is also being taken. A day earlier, the department team had inspected private medical institutions.

-Notices issued to 4 clinics

CMHO Bhopal Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari has issued notices to 4 clinics and closed their operations with immediate effect. Police, Municipal Corporation, Drug Administration, Pollution Control Board have been informed for legal action for punitive action against the persons illegally engaged in medical practice.

On Saturday, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Ritesh Rawat, Sub Divisional Medical Officer Dr. Ashwin Bhambal and Dr. Abhishek Sen, on the basis of information, reached Gupta Clinic located in Ashoka Garden and Shuddhi Clinic located in Platinum Plaza for investigation, however, the operators kept the clinics closed due to fear of action. According to the information received from the local people, investigation is also being done to find out if Shuddhi Clinic is operating at some other place. Investigation teams found similar situation at many other places as well.

Chief Medical and Health Officer Bhopal Dr. Prabhakar Tiwari said that the inspection process is going on continuously by the Health Department. Legal action is being taken against the medical institutions running without permission. Standards like registered medical practitioner, violation of pathy etc. are also being looked into.
