6.1-magnitude quake hits 83 km N of Calama, Chile: USGS

New York, Jan 3 (UNI) An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted 83 km N of Calama, Chile at 20:43:35 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 104.6 km, was initially determined to be at 21.72 degrees south latitude and 69.08 degrees west longitude.
