The examinations of class 5th and 8th on board pattern will start from today across the state. The timing of the exam will be from 9 to 11.30 am.
The first paper will be of Hindi, English, Marathi and Urdu on March 6. Admit cards are also being downloaded and distributed to the students. 25.50 lakh students are appearing in the said examinations in the state.
About 12 thousand examination centers were made for these. These include students from government schools as well as private schools and madrassas. Dhanraju S, director of the State Education Center, said that in determining the examination centres, special care has been taken that these examination centers are at minimum distance from the schools. Also, facilities should be available for the students at these examination centers as per the capacity of the schools. About 25 lakh 51 thousand 818 students of 1,14,956 government, private schools and madrassas of the state are appearing in the examination, while for 6,621 students of 203 private schools, separate exams for language subjects are being conducted as per the NCERT syllabus. Question papers have been prepared.
IT portal ready for conducting examination
Dhanraju said that the School Education Department has prepared a separate IT portal for conducting the examinations. Through this, the complete conduct of the examination and all arrangements have been made online. From this portal, along with editing the works like verification of students, determination of examination centres, mapping of center heads, distribution of material etc., the facility of issuing roll numbers and admit cards has been provided. Attendance of students will be recorded in the examination through this portal. The facility of evaluation work to be done after the examination and providing mark list will also be provided from this portal.
