- Case of rape of Hindu college girls
Bhopal: Another revelation has come to light in the case concerning the targeting and assault of Hindu college girls in Bhopal. The main accused, Farhan, is alleged to have raped a student at his residence, with his elder sister reportedly aware of these actions.
Another accused Ali was accused of raping a minor student in his home in June 2024. This assault occurred at four o’clock in the morning while his elder brother and mother were present in the house but asleep. Following these revelations during the investigation, the police are now examining the roles of both families involved.
Ali arrested from Nizamuddin Colony
On Monday morning, the police arrested Ali from Nizamuddin Colony, where he was hiding at his girlfriend’s house. Four persons have been apprehended so far including Ali. The police conducted a procession to present the accused in court, which started from Baghsewania police station. Subsequently, all four were brought before the Bhopal court, where the police sought their remand.
Farhan has been placed on a three-day remand, which concluded on Monday. Information obtained from him led to the arrests of Sahil and Ali. The accused were paraded in front of the Baghsewania police station as part of the proceedings.
Gang had been active in the city for four years
Investigations have revealed that the gang had been active in the city for four years, targeting and trapping girls in hookah lounges, pubs, and colleges. Following Farhan, Sahil Khan emerged as the second key figure in the gang. Sahil had operated dance classes at two different locations over the past year and a half, including a class named Delight in Old Subhash Nagar. According to Alam, the owner of the premises, Sahil abruptly ceased running the coaching classes four months ago.
Farhan’s sister’s involvement has also been called into question. A victim informed authorities that Farhan’s sister was aware of her brother’s actions and had been pressuring the student.
